Babelfish is a musical duo, guitar and violin with powerful vocals and
harmonies, who have just returned from the UK.
Kerrin is a Christchurch girl and a classically trained violinist, returning
home after years of teaching and performing in England.
Tim has been playing guitar and writing songs since he was 13 (he’s a bit
older than that now). He has played in bands in England and featured at
festivals, including Rudolstatt in Germany, the largest folk festival in
Europe, with a band called ‘Mooncoin’,
and later, ‘The Kesh’.
Babelfish have been together for five years now and have great fun with
their music. They played folk clubs and festivals around the east of England
and have produced a C.D. of original material.
When they play live you will hear a great variety of styles – from
traditional folk songs, folk tunes from all over, gypsy and East European
tunes, some jazz standards, some popular covers, and of course some
originals. In fact, something for everyone!
Babelfish play at festivals, art centres & other venues where
live music is well supported.
